Commencement ceremonies were held May 8 for the Kent State Salem Campus. Dr. Steve Nameth, 
dean of the Kent State Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Celeste Oprean, assistant dean for the Salem Campus.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Stephane Boothe, former assistant dean at the Salem Campus and the current special assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs at the University of Akron.
Student speakers included Sara Saverko and Corina Stein, both early childhood education majors.
Nearly 400 degrees were awarded this semester between the Kent State Salem and East Liverpool campuses.
