What is Undergraduate Research?

Undergraduate research describes all types of scientific or scholarly inquiry and creative activities performed by students under faculty guidance. It may be directed toward creating new knowledge and/or applied toward solving real-life problems. Finer definitions will vary according to the subject matter, research methods, and values of different academic disciplines. The products of undergraduate research may be (but are not limited to) presentations, research reports, research papers, creative works, or other works.
