The School of Communication Studies graduate programs, begun in 1950, have developed a tradition of academic innovation and achievement. Students will find three concentrations:   

Faculty are productive researchers publishing in their areas of expertise and presenting during regional, national and international conferences. The School's  faculty are are carrying on the tradition of scholarship that started in 1999 when the program was ranked 2nd in research productivity (Communication Monographs, June 1999).

Alumni success is also attributable to our academic commitment and prominence. Graduates enjoy a high rate of employment in universities and organizations across the country, well above the national average.

We are confident that graduate students will view our program as an investment in excellence. In like manner, we view graduate students as an investment in our future: Today's students are tomorrow's scholars who will advance the tradition of achievement and scholarship in the discipline.
