Message from the Undergraduate Coordinator

Thank you for your interest in the undergraduate program in the School of Communication Studies. In part, the mission of the undergraduate program is to facilitate student learning and promote an exploration of human interaction in a variety of contexts. There are over 500 majors and minors currently enrolled in the program.

The undergraduate program offers students an engaging curriculum in the areas of applied, interpersonal, organizational, and public communication. The diverse course offerings prepare graduates for the challenges of the 21st century. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in a variety of co-curricular opportunities that include but are not limited to: Cleveland Communication Day, Communication Expo and Career Fair, the Forensics Team, Mock Trail, and Kent Communication Society. Exemplary students are eligible for membership in Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society.
