Annual golf outing to support student scholarships
The School of Communication Studies held its 2nd annual golf outing on July 9th at the Kent State University Golf Course. The outing raised funds for student awards and scholarships. Charter One Bank was the event sponsor. Alumni, faculty, students and administrators played 18 holes of golf. Participants received lunch and a raffle ticket. Prizes were donated by area businesses. Alumni and members of faculty also supported the event by sponsoring a hole or sponsoring student golfers. Students will directly benefit from the $2500 raised.
Planners are already preparing for next year's outing, tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 15, 2005. We encourage you to mark your calendars and plan to join in the fun!
