Internships & Careers

In the 2015 National Association of Colleges and Employers' Job Outlook Survey, employers identified oral and written communication skills as among the top 10 skills they seek when hiring new college graduates. However, only 28 percent of employers believe college graduates are prepared in oral communication skills and only 27 percent believe graduates possess the written communication skills needed.

Good news for students who choose to major in communication studies – as they will have the knowledge to bring these critical skills to the workplace!

Students within the School of Communication Studies have the opportunity to gain and refine their skills through internships or practicums and, upon graduation, will find an extensive array of employment opportunities.
