Independence

The city of Independence is a beautiful and vibrant suburb of Cleveland. Independence is located just 8 miles south of downtown Cleveland, 8 miles west of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and 20 miles north of Akron. The interchange of I-77 and I-480 are readily accessible to every major residential suburb, as well as downtown Cleveland, making the city a prime, central location to Greater Cleveland. What makes Independence truly unique is that just south of its high-tech economic district (where the College of Podiatric Medicine is located), is a quaint little historic town nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley.

Cleveland, Ohio is a very diverse community situated on the shores of Lake Erie. The amenities of the Greater Cleveland area are many, and the opportunities and culture are endless. Cleveland is a major sports town that has three professional sports teams; the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Next to New York City, Cleveland has the second largest theatre district in the country offering Broadway shows, plays, the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, etc. Nightlife in Cleveland is very vibrant, offering exciting hotspots like The Warehouse District, East 4th Street District, and The Tremont District. Cleveland is also home to the World renowned Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum, University Circle, and the Great Lakes Science Center.  The Pro Football Hall of Fame is located an hour south in Canton, Ohio.
