Commuter and Off-Campus Plan
The majority of Off-campus and Commuter Students spend a good deal of time on campus. Like most anyone, nowadays, they too don't like to carry cash, so we decided to offer them a smaller meal plan that would be beneficial while on campus. This should allow for a meal and a snack five days a week on campus. Of course that is always dependent upon each student and their appetite size. To sign up for this plan, click here. What is a Dining Dollar?
The Dining Dollar is a university currency provided through your dining plan that is used exclusively at University Dining Services' 20 locations. The amount of dining dollars you receive depends on the dining plan you select.Your dining dollars are used to purchase meal and snack options on campus that are most suited to you. Remember: Dining dollars to not carry past the academic year under most plans. Dining dollars cover more than the cost of meals and snacks, such as facilities, other services, like a staff dietician and student programming.
Why are we unique?
A university dining plan is different than and has alternate expenses from a school lunch program or that of a grocery store. No state funds go toward the daily operation of Dining Services. Given the flexibility and breadth of the KSU dining plan, you should find that it is very cost competitive with most other University dining plans. We encourage you to compare our plans with plans from other schools.
