Upward Bound Students Participate in Mock Disease Outbreak
On July 12, 2012, Kent State University's College of Public Health held a mock disease outbreak investigation for high school students enrolled in the university's Upward Bound program. Students worked in coordination with public health professionals from Kent State University and the Portage County Health Department and Emergency Management Agency to learn how an outbreak scenario is resolved.
M.A.L.E. Leadership Breakfast
On April 21, 2012 The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion promoted an opportunity for all KSU Male students (current and incoming) to interface with successful and prominent professional men from KSU and surrounding cities. This opportunity was a leadership breakfast that fostered an in depth discussion aimed at increasing college completion as well as achievement after graduating from Kent State, for all males. The Breakfast consisted of a panel discussion that was preceded by speaker, KSU Football Coach, Darrell Hazell.
