Room-based Video Conferencing (Polycom, previously VTEL) is a traditional distance learning system where you see class materials, your instructor, and fellow students on large Television monitors in the front of the classroom, and you speak to your instructor and fellow students from a microphone at your seat.

• Your instructor can teach your class from your classroom or other Room-based Video Conferencing classrooms in the Kent network.
• You register for Room-based Video Conferencing class just like you would register for any class, i.e. M/W 9:15 - 10:30
• Each campus is equipped with at least one Room-based Video Conferencing lab, which consists of a room-based videoconferencing system allowing classes to be delivered to/from any campus. Kent State currently delivers classes to/from all 8 Kent campuses as well as several campuses outside of Kent State University.
• Classes can be found in the Schedule of Classes.  For search criteria, under Course Delivery, use Video Conference to search for this delivery type.  If permission is needed to enroll, check with your advisor.
