Kent State University’s Fashion School will host the third annual Fashion/Tech Hackathon from Friday, Jan. 29, to Sunday, Jan. 31, in Rockwell Hall.
The School of Digital Sciences is pleased to welcome Sandra (Sandy) Taylor as our new Business Manager.
Sandy has been with Kent State University for seventeen years, serving in various positions. With twenty years of experience in accounting and related areas before joining Kent State, we are happy to have someone so qualified join the School of Digital Sciences as our Business Manager!
The beginning of the Spring 2015 semester is reserved for walk-in advising only. Walk-in advising is limited to 10 minutes per person and is focused on scheduling issues. More detailed questions must wait for scheduled advising appointments beginning Wednesday 14 January.
Note - new international graduate students MUST ATTEND a Group Academic Advising Session before they can be seen for walk-in advising.
Academic advising for new international graduate students begins with a Group Academic Advising Session in 228 Math & CS Building.
No appointment is necessary, but you must attend one of these sessions, and you must be present during the entire session. Please arrive on time — the session is only 30 minutes long and you will not be allowed to enter after the session starts.

This new website, developed to match changes being made to websites across the university, features all new content. Moreover, it is responsive to the viewing platform - some content displays in three columns on a laptop browser but in a single column on a smartphone -so your browsing experience should improve.
Kent State University journalism professors Gordon Murray, Ph.D., and Jacqueline Marino tasked students in their Mobile Publishing class with a special project to create a magazine designed for tablets. The course brought together students from the schools of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Digital Sciences to create an interactive magazine with an accompanying website.
Dr. Robert A. Walker, Director of the School of Digital Sciences, recently returned from a 13-day trip to India where he was recruiting students for the Master of Digital Sciences program.
Director Walker's first trip to India was quite busy. He visited four states (TN, AP, UP, and Delhi), and he visited six cities -- Chennai, Hyderabad, Warangal, Vijayawada, Delhi, and Greater Noida. He went to three education fairs, and he also visited the KSU India Liaison Office and met with several partner recruiters.
We are pleased to announce that the Director of Kent State University's School of Digital Sciences, Dr. Robert A. Walker, will be visiting India in early February on a recruiting trip.
If you have friends in Chennai, Hyderabad, Warrangal, Vijawada, or Greater Noida, could you tell them that Director Walker will be visiting in case they'd like to meet him to hear about Kent State University and the School of Digital Sciences?

4 February - Seminar at Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai
The School of Digital Sciences main office will be closed from Monday December 23 through Wednesday January 1. Our office will reopen on Thursday January 2.
In general, all Kent State University campuses will operate on a holiday schedule from Tuesday December 24 through Wednesday January 1; normal operations will resume the morning of Thursday January 2.
