As an exchange student, you will be matched with a University of Lapland student to help orient you to living in Finland. They will contact you before you arrive, help you with the formalities of the university, as well as practical issues. There is also a three to five day orientation for new exchange students each semester. Download the international student guide book HERE.
You will live off-campus near the University of Lapland or near the city center. Apartments are usually shared with one or two other students, and the rent varies from 120-362€ per person.
All inquiries should be directed to DAS housing foundation. The University of Lapland offers a housing scholarship, which will help pay for your accommodation.
Students are responsible for the purchase of their own meals.
