Sign Language Collection
The American Sign Language and Deaf Programs materials were purchased primarily from a series of grants through the Ohio Department of Education to support American Sign Language and Interpreter Training Programs at both Kent State University and the University of Akron. A substantial number of materials were donated to KSU from the University of Akron's Interpreter Training Program when it closed.
CIIE (Center for International & Intercultural Education) Collection
In 2002, Dr. Manna received a grant from the College's International and Intercultural Education Program to develop this collection of award-winning children's and young adult books.

This collection focuses on education and law.
