Health Promotion
Mission Statement
The mission of the Center for Health Promotion through Education is to link schools, agencies and universities together in order to sustain collaborative, long-term efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and communities. To achieve this mission the Center for Health Promotion through Education has six major initiative:
- To assist agencies and schools in obtaining grants for assessment, design implementation and/or evaluation of health promotion initiatives.
- To conduct and/or coordinate applied research in order to identify risk behaviors and evaluate prevention and treatment programs.
- To enhance graduate student's professional growth by providing field experience in health promotion initiatives
- To promote the Center for Health Promotion through communication media.
- To assist the College of Education faculty and staff on obtaining health related resources.
- To represent the Center for Health Promotion through Education at local, state and federal levels through meetings and/or conferences.
