Kent State’s unique Teacher Education Semester is designed to broaden teacher education students’ academic experiences while ensuring that they continue to make progress toward earning their degree.

Elective courses will be offered so that future teachers in all licensure programs can take advantage of this opportunity to study abroad. 

School visits and cultural field experiences are integrated into the semester’s study.

Anticipated offerings are designed to support licensure for ALL education majors:

Suggested courses include

  • EPSY 29525 Educational Psychology
  • PSYCH 11762 General Psychology
  • SPED 23000 Introduction to Exceptionalities (on line)
  • *THEA 11000 The Art of Theatre
  • *CLAS 21405 Roman Contributions 
  •  Italian Culture and Language plus field trips to Italian and International Schools

              *Indicate Kent Core Options

These options provide an education major, 12-18 credits from which to choose toward licensure and graduation.
