ERE Conference

Welcome to the Educational Research Exchange (ERE).

The College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University is sponsoring the Educational Research Exchange (ERE) on Friday, April 14, 2017. The ERE is an annual conference that provides an opportunity for students to present their research endeavors in a collegial atmosphere. This year’s conference is hosted by Kent State University and supported by Cleveland State University, Youngstown State University, and The University of Akron.

The primary objective of the conference is to provide a learning environment where students can gain professional skills and experience in presenting their research. Through this exchange, students will build professional relationships with other students and faculty and gain experience in presenting at conferences. Students at all levels are encouraged to submit proposals regardless of their skills and research experience. ERE can help students and faculty members across universities talk, share, and learn from each other in a supportive and non-threatening environment.

Students will benefit most from the conference if many faculty members and other students attend and participate, so we are looking for your support. Faculty may contribute by chairing a session, being a discussant, or just attending to give support and feedback to students—all of which are important components of conference participation. Broad faculty support will help students see the various positions and functions necessary for a successful conference.

Students are encouraged to submit proposals for presentations, but they can contribute and participate without presenting. They can support their student colleagues by attending sessions. They can find out what students from around Northeast Ohio are working on and seek them out for discussions of the topics and methods of their research. They can discover new trends and make new contacts in their fields.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to email Albert Ingram (aingram@kent.edu) or one of the ERE committee members from your university. We look forward to seeing you at the ERE Conference at Kent State University on Friday, April 14, 2017
