Ph.D. Admissions

The College of Education, Health, and Human Services admits students to Ph.D. programs on a selective basis. Minimum requirements for admission to the Ph.D. programs include:

  • Satisfactory scores on GRE (Verbal. Quantitative, and Analytical Writing)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • 3.5 GPA or higher in Master’s degree program
  • Official transcripts
  • Goal statement and resume

Following the interview with the program faculty, a recommendation (either supporting or denying admission) is directed to the Graduate School of Education, which will notify the applicant of the decision concerning admission. Upon admission, the student will be assigned a doctoral advisor who will aid the student in the selection and scheduling of coursework for the program.
