News: New Minors in HDFS and Nonprofit Studies

In an effort to better prepare students to meet the needs of area nonprofit and human service organizations we will be offering minors in Human Development and Family Studies and Nonprofit Studies beginning in Fall 2012.  These minors are open to students from any major interested in contributing to the quality of life and well being of individuals and families across the lifespan.

News: The IIHSWRD Receives National Research Competition Grant

Kent State University's International Institute for Human Service Workforce Research and Development, under the leadership of Dr. Dale Curry and in collaboration with the Child and Youth Care Certification Board, has been awarded funding by the Robert Bowne Foundation to assess out-of-school-time practitioner perceptions of the value of national child and youth worker certification.
