Network of Diverse Educators Program

Our dedicated faculty and local teaching professionals meet with our future teachers once per month to provide them with the additional support they need to be successful in our teacher education program. The network provides future teachers a wealth of support building connections and providing an in-depth focus on advanced study preparation. Complete form fields on this page to apply.

Program Mission
The Network of Diverse Educators Program will increase the retention and preparedness of underrepresented students to successfully enroll in advance study and complete our teacher education programs within the College of Education, Health & Human Services by delivering high impact services and resources that ensure their success in their academic program and in their career.

Program Vision
Members of The Network will be well-sought after in the teaching profession upon graduation from Kent State University. The Network will serve as key contributor to engaging underrepresented students in the teacher education programs around professional preparedness, preparation for advanced study and overall increased student success.
