Welcome to Mathematics Education at Kent State University!

Kent State provides degrees and course offerings in mathematics education that aim to prepare future teachers, enhance the knowledge and skills of practicing teachers and practitioners, and prepare future mathematics education researchers and teacher educators. The mathematics education faculty at Kent State each has experience in rigorous research and classroom teaching. Our research focuses on the teaching and learning of mathematics. 

Kent State University is the largest university in Northeast Ohio. Located near both cities of Cleveland and Akron, Kent State has awarded doctoral degrees focusing on mathematics education for over 50 years, and has prepared teachers to teach mathematics in K-12 settings for over 100 years.
