Job Description:Responsible for working with the administration and the UCM team to develop marketing strategy and creative executions for a wide variety of university communications.
Worked at KSU since:December 2010. As a student I was employed (work/study) in the University Library’s Audio Visual Services Department from 1985-1989. When I went to get my new Staff ID, my old employee number was still in the system – so I got to keep it!
Employment Prior to Kent State University:AMG Advertising and P.R. Inc, Brass Tacks Business Accelerators, WOLF Group/Meldrum & Fewsmith Communications, Innis Maggiore Olson Advertising
Likes Most About Kent State University:It’s wonderful to be a part of an educational institution – especially my alma mater. I’ve never been “too cool for school,” and have always been a big fan of learning – as a student and as a teacher. Being able to tap into the energy and resources of such a large and vibrant organization is exciting and inspiring. I’m very glad to rejoin the Kent State community and see “Excellence in Action” everyday.
Attraction to Kent State University as an Employer:Being part of an institution with such an overwhelmingly positive mission and being close to the unbounded energy and limitless potential of a university campus is an inspiration and a powerful charge to my personal batteries. There is a wonderfully friendly and welcoming feeling on campus and a refreshing courtesy and helpfulness that is often missing in corporate environments. It’s good to be able to use the skills and experience I’ve gained in my career thus far to help further the university’s ongoing mission.
