New Employee Welcome

Welcome to the  Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs

Being new can be daunting.  Whether you are a new employee to Kent State University, a new Graduate Assistant or have moved into our division from another one at Kent State, we are very glad that you have joined us.

New Employee Welcome Program (NEW):

Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA) has created some special programming to welcome you to our family. The New Employee Welcome Program (NEW) begins with a welcome reception. You will:

• meet Vice President Greg Jarvie
• receive information about the division and why we think it is the best place to be
• be presented with opportunities for professional development  and ways to become involved
• be introduced to the 'EMSA buddy' program.

EMSA Buddy Program:

The Buddy program was created to pair new employees, including GA's with another co-worker in our division.  At one time all of us were new to the university and new to this division.  We remember that it can be confusing trying to navigate the division, the university and  the town.  An EMSA buddy is a co-worker who has committed to touch base with their assigned new employee to see how they are doing, answer any questions and make the new employee feel welcome.  If you are interested in participating in the EMSA buddy program, click here.
