Celebration of Service Awards 2011

The following  were recognized at the annual "Making a Difference: Recognizing Kent Staters Who Care" Awards and Recognition Program on April 12, 2011.

These awards will recognize the efforts of community partners who have assisted Kent State University in the engagement of students in meaningful out-of-the classroom learning experiences.

 NEW SERVICE INITIATIVE AWARD
This award will be presented to a student or organization that has developed a new service initiative or outreach during the 2010-11 academic year.  The  program will have had a strong impact on the campus and/or the surrounding community and garnered student support for the issue(s)/outreach.

MOST FUNDRAISING BY A STUDENT ORGANIZATION
This award will be presented to the student organization that has raised the most funds for a cause during the 2010-11 academic year.
