ESL Program Dates

Semester & Summer Dates

Spring Semester

Two 7-week modules each followed by one week of exams.

Module 1: January 14, 2013 - March 8, 2013; testing/ Registration March 4 - 8, 2013

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on January 11, 2013, at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on December 13 - 14, 2013 at 8:00 am.

Module 2: March 11, 2013 - May 10, 2013; testing May 6 - 10, 2013

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on March 8, 2013, at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on March 7 - 8, 2013 at 8:00 am.

Spring Break: March 25 - 31, 2013

If you need to apply for a visa, we must receive your application for admission to Module 1 by November 1, 2012. For admission to Module 2, we must receive your application by January 9, 2013.

Fall Semester

Two 7-week modules each followed by one week of exams.

Module 1: August 26, 2013 - October 18, 2013; testing October 14 - 18, 2013

On August 19, 2013, all new ESL students must attend the orientation for international students provided by the office of Global Education. On August 21, 2013, all ESL students must report to Satterfield Hall room 201 at 8:00 am for ESL testing, advising and registration.

Module 2: October 21, 2013 - December 13, 2013; testing December 9 - 13, 2013

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing starting October 18, 2013 at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on October 17, 2013 8:00 am.

If you need to apply for a visa, we must receive your application for admission to Module 1 by June 16, 2013. For admission to Module 2, we must receive your application by August 25, 2013.

Summer Semester

One 7-week module followed by exams.

Summer Module: May 20, 2013 - July 12, 2013

Tuition cost: $3, 825.00*
On-campus Housing: approximately $1770.00

All students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on May 17, 2013 at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201.

In addition, the ESL Center offers non-credit intensive English programs designed to meet specific needs, accompanied by optional excursions which complement our programs. Excursion fees are not included in tuition fees.

We must receive your application at least nine weeks before the summer intensive program begins.

Program A: August 3 through 22, 2013

This program is designed to develop students' understanding of American culture while at the same time practicing their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

Tuition cost: $975*
On-campus Housing: approximately $910.00
Total contact hours: 75

Orientation: August 3, 2013, 9:30 am, Satterfield Hall room 201

Program ends on August 22, 2013.
