Study travel narratives from the 1600s to the 1900s and learn about the history and culture of people of African descent in the Caribbean! We will cruise the Caribbean for 7 nights aboard the Carnival Valor. We will visit the islands of Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, USVI, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten/St. Martin to experience their history, geography, and culture. You will be creating your own visual and written travel narrative.
Register for the Special Topics crosslisted course in English & Pan African Studies ENG39495/PAS43095. This course should count as an upper division elective for English, Sociology, Psychology, Geography, Geology, Pan African Studies, Anthropology, and Art. Please check with your college advisor.
$1,800 includes roundtrip air from Cleveland, transfers, luggage fees, tours, all meals & non-alcoholic beverages, cabin (lowest category, early bird price, four people/cabin), $30 application fee and insurance required by KSU. A $250 deposit to Carnival Cruise line holds your place.
