Tammy Clewell

Professor Clewell joined the Department of English in 2000 and has since published essay on modernism, psychoanalysis, and film in journal including Modern Fiction Studies, Literature/Film Quarterly, Angelaki, College Literature, and The Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Her essay on Freud and mourning received the 2001 CORST Prize awarded by the American Psychoanalytic Association. Her book Mourning, Modernism, Postmodernism was published by Palgrave MacMillan in 2009.

Professor Clewell is currently editing a collection entitled "Modernism and Nostalgia." She is also working on a book-length study of modernism, modernist legacies, cognitive science, and the invention of the human.
