Description of Kent State University Writing Courses

The English Composition sequence, part of Kent's Core Requirements, is designed to introduce and provide experience in academic writing based upon the goal of communication effectively with specific audiences. The courses include the introduction to rhetorical principles, the writing process, critical reading, research and technology. Each course in the sequence is designed to build upon and refine skills developed in earlier courses. Course sections may be designed around different content themes, so it may be useful to check these before enrolling in courses.
