Our EXCEL Mentors & Graduate Assistant (GA)

Our EXCEL Mentors are essential as each assists with the establishing friendships with our EXCEL students.  EXCEL students appreciate and enjoy bonding with their Mentor and receiving support and student success tips from their EXCEL Mentor team. Mentors coordinate fun academic, student success and social programs from which our EXCEL student benefit greatly. Mentors have a significant role that only a Mentor can fulfill as an experienced student and a close peer to our EXCEL students.  The energy, creative learning programs, and relationships established by our Mentors are essential to creating close and comfortable living learning community.

Our EXCEL Graduate Assistant, assists with coordinating our EXCEL NewsNotes, monthly calendar, bulletin boards, and many other programs throughout the year.  Our GA is very inspiring and serves an excellent role model representing a student enrolled in an advance degree program.  Our GA establishing a special bond with our EXCEL students involving sharing knowledge from years of student experiences regarding selecting a major, internships, student involvement, and the importance of developing strong study skills and student success habits; including making good life decisions.
