Held in New York every May, portfolio showcase allows those who have just graduated from the Fashion School to present their portfolios to alumni and industry guests.
Each spring, a jury of industry professionals selects 40 Fashion School seniors (20 merchandising majors and 20 design majors) who will participate in portfolio showcase. The week after graduation, these 40 students travel to the school's NYC Studio to meet with Kent State alumni and industry guests.
The portfolio showcase is designed to foster connections between alumni, educators and the fashion industry to recognize students who have produced outstanding work throughout their Kent State career; and to assist graduates as they make the transition between their student and professional lives.
