Events for Prospective Students
Committing to a college is a big deal. Since we want you to be sure the Fashion School at Kent State University is right for you, we encourage you to plan a visit to campus. The Fashion School at Kent State University welcomes future students to participate in the follow events:
PREVIEW KSU! AND GOLDEN FLASH DAYS
Hosted by the Admissions Office, these events provide information on admissions, financial aid, residence services and other campus resources. The Fashion School participates in both of these events allowing prospective students to visit the School and learn more about our admission requirements, curriculum, and study away/abroad experiences.
Please contact admissions at 330-672-2444 or visit the admissions website to register.
Hosted by the Fashion School, these events offer attendees a group informational session presented by the Fashion School academic advisors, a self-guided tour of the building and facilities, and an opportunity to visit the Fashion Library, the Fashion School Store and KSU Museum. The events are focused toward high school juniors, seniors and college transfer students interested in either the fashion design or fashion merchandising major.
If you would like to include a tour of campus with this visit option, you may schedule one through the admissions website.
BEHIND THE SCENES
The Fashion School presents this event for prospective and incoming students every spring semester around our Annual Fashion Show. A day-long visit, Behind the Scenes allows students to meet faculty, academic advisors and current students; tour Rockwell Hall; explore the KSU Museum; and visit the Fashion School Store in downtown Kent. Students and their families are able to attend multiple panel discussions throughout the day focused on curriculum, internships and study-away experiences. Attendees also get an exclusive “behind the scenes” preview of our Annual Fashion Show. The registration fee for this event includes admission to the show and lunch.
