Listed below you will find the eligibility and renewal criteria for scholarship awards offered to incoming freshmen by the Student Financial Aid Office, Admissions Office, and the Honors College. Students can accept their scholarship awards via their FlashLine Accounts after January 15. To accept or decline your scholarship offer after January 15:
- Login to your FlashLine Account at www.kent.edu
- Select the Student Tools tab at the top of the page
- Under the My Account section, choose Financial Aid
- Select Award
- Select Aid for Award Year
- Choose 2010-2011 Award Year from the drop-down menu and click the Submit button
- Click on the Accept Award Offer tab
- Click on the name of each scholarship and carefully read the Eligibility and Renewal Criteria for that award
- If you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Award Message and you will attend Kent State University, choose Accept from the drop-down menu
- If you do not agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the Award Message or you will not attend Kent State University, choose Decline from the drop-down menu
- You must accept or decline each scholarship award separately

- You must register for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester that are designated as Kent Campus courses. - This scholarship may be adjusted or cancelled if you enroll exclusively in Distance Learning courses in any given semester.
- You must remain continuously enrolled at the Kent Campus of Kent State University. Students who transfer to a Regional Campus or another institution will no longer be eligible for this scholarship award if they attempt to return to the Kent Campus of Kent State.
- This scholarship award is applicable only to tuition charges. If a combination of this scholarship and any other tuition award exceeds the cost of tuition at Kent State University, this scholarship may be reduced or cancelled.
- You must maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative Kent State University GPA.
- You must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours each academic year (12 credit hours fall and 12 credit hours spring).

Dean Scholarship – Public Health
- You must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.
- This scholarship is available only to students majoring in Public Health. If you change your major to another program you will forfeit this scholarship.
- You must register for a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester that are designated as Kent Campus courses. You will not be eligible to receive this scholarship if you register for Regional Campus courses (even if they meet on the Kent Campus) unless you are also enrolled in a minimum of 12 Kent Campus credit hours.
- This scholarship may be adjusted or cancelled if you enroll exclusively in Distance Learning courses in any given semester.
- You must remain continuously enrolled at the Kent Campus of Kent State University. Students who transfer to a Regional Campus or another institution will no longer be eligible for this scholarship award if they attempt to return to the Kent Campus of Kent State.
- This scholarship award is applicable only to tuition charges. If a combination of this scholarship and any other tuition award exceeds the cost of tuition at Kent State University, this scholarship may be reduced or cancelled.
- You must maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative Kent State University GPA.
- You must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours each academic year (12 credit hours fall and 12 credit hours spring).
- This scholarship is renewable for a total of eight consecutive semesters or until graduation, whichever comes first.
- You must agree to the release of your grades, when appropriate, for scholarship purposes.
