Adobe ConnectNow:

Adobe ConnectNow is software that allows users to interact and share different types of information while online. The “host” of the meeting gathers all participants in a virutual meeting room and determines what information to share and to whom. Information and presentations can be shared in real time or be pre-recorded. In addition, the host and members (if granted access by the host) can contribute to the meeting using the remote control function which allows users to take over other users’ computers, with permission. Participants engaged in a ConnectNow meeting can also comment during the presentation using chat functions, and use video and audio conferencing, all included on the Adobe ConnectNow front screen. Ideal for small meetings and groups, the ConnectNow software only allows 3 people to engage in a conference at one time. To invite a larger group, you have to buy Adobe ConnectNow Pro.

There is nothing to download in order to use ConnectNow, but users must create an account from acrobat.com. Because over 98% of the computers sold include Adobe Software, it is likely that all computers will be compatible. In addition, because there is nothing to download, this program and one’s account can be accessed from any computer with internet access and Adobe software.
