Congrats to Geology grad students at the Graduate Student Senate Research Symposium

Posted Apr. 11, 2011 The Graduate Student Senate Research Symposium was held April 1, 2011. The Geology Department was well-represented, with 7 entries in the poster and oral presentation divisions (Nivi Mehrotra, Chanda 'Siri' Siriwardana, Hasanthi Windanagamage, AdiÃ«l Klompmaker, Cristina Robins, Julie Gouin, and Katie Wells). Congratulations to Julie Gouin, who took top honors in the Master's degree section with her poster! In the "nomination awards" categories, the geology department had two winners: Ovidiu Frantescu won "Best Creative Endeavor," and AdiÃ«l Klompmaker was awarded "Best Research."
