- Friiday, May 19 to Sunday, May 28: Kent State China STEM Tour. A delegation of faculty members from the School of Digital Sciences, the College of Arts and Science, and the College of Business along with staff from the Kent State China Center is touring China to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education as well as Kent State as an education destination among prospective Chinese students. - Saturday, May 27: A Stroll in the Rose Garden: Exquisite Sounds of Persian Music. North Water Street Gallery, 8:00 pm. Come hear a concert of traditional Persian music from Iran. A donation of $10 is suggested, or you can pay what you can. A meet-and-greet with food and drinks will precede the concert and starts at 7:30 pm. - Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24: The Idea of Violence: A Conference, Palazzo Vettori, Florence, Italy. Co-sponsored by the Department of Geography of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Office of Global Education and the Kent State Florence Center.
- Saturday, September 2- Monday, September 4: Chicago Trip. Please join ISSS in our Labor Day Weekend Trip to Chicago! We will leave Kent, Ohio on September 2nd and arrive back in Kent on September 4th. The cost of the trip is $150 for students who are assessed the International Student Activity Fee and $200 for those who are not. The cost includes transportation to and from Chicago, two nights in a nationally-awarded hostel, and a Ventra pass, which allows students to ride the L-train to get around the city. Register now or stop into 106 Van Campen Hall to register in person with exact cash. Seats will fill quickly so sign up now! Cost is nontransferable and nonrefundable.
