Cheryl Cunnagin receives 2011 President's Excellence Award
Over 50 staff members and students nominate Cunnagin for Lefton's award
Cheryl Cunnagin, Clerical Specialist in the Office of Global Education, is one of 2011 President's Excellence Award recipients. Over 50 staff members and students nominated Cunnagin in the categories of Quality Customer Service, Diversity & Inclusion, Serves as an ambassador for the university and Student Success.
On Monday December 19th, President Lefton personally stopped by the office to deliver the good news and award of $1000. Cheryl says she will use the money to continue her missionary work in Africa this summer with the Bush Clinics.
According to those who nominated her, it is Cheryl's kind words, willingness to help, open mind and big hugs that make everyone feel welcome to the Office of Global Education and Kent State as a whole. Le Su, a JMC major and international student from China, produced a video as a part of her nomination for Cunnagin.
It seems that the Kent State community has taken Cheryl's catch phrase to heart and want to let her know that "You're the BEST!"
