Graduate Professional and Academic Development (GPAD) workshops
The Division of Graduate Studies offers professional development workshops for KSU graduate students. The one-hour Graduate Professional and Academic Development (GPAD) workshops are free to KSU graduate students, and are interdisciplinary in nature. The GPAD workshops are offered during a one-week block in the Fall and Spring semesters. Several of the GPAD workshops are also offered prior to the start of the Fall and Spring semesters, as part of Graduate Student Orientation (GSO).
The GPAD workshops are a collaborative initiative between the Division of Graduate Studies and other campus units including the Faculty Professional Development Center, University Libraries, Research and Sponsored Programs, Information Services, the Multicultural Center, and the Career Services Center. The GPAD workshops cover topics such as technology tools, searching for grant funding, writing a literature review, working with Blackboard Learn, and negotiating a job salary/offer.
Light refreshments are provided at each of the GPAD workshops and pre-registration is preferred. For questions about the GPAD workshops, please contact Dr. Kate McAnulty at kmcanult@kent.edu or 330.672.2180.
