Awards

GSS offers both competitive and non-competitive awards for students to travel, do research, and be recognized for specific areas of excellence. Graduate students are welcome to apply for these awards with the understanding that eligibility is limited to one award per category per academic year.  For example, this means that while graduate students can only receive one domestic travel award per academic year, it is still possible to receive funding in the same academic year for an international travel award in addition to a research award.

All excellence award applications are due April 1st, 2013 and recipients are announced at the Graduate Student Senate Research Symposium during the luncheon on Friday, April 19th.

*Please remember, students may only be reimbursed once per trip, i.e., although your research may fit under two categories (for example, Research Award and International Travel Award), you may only apply for one.

**Please note that if a deadline is marked as "passed," GSS is no longer accepting applications and funding is no longer available. There are no wait lists for funding. When a deadline has "passed," the application will be removed from the website until applications open again for the next semester.
