Research Excellence
Eligibility for the research award is meant to include those who:
1. Are presently conducting their own research project and/or
2. Are sharing major responsibilities in a research project with another student or faculty member.
3. Research projects must be begun by or ongoing during the 2012-2013 academic year.
*This category has replaced the dissertation/thesis award, opening the award to more students who conduct research for purposes other than dissertation/thesis. However, dissertation/thesis students are still encouraged to apply.
If you are nominating yourself, please continue to the "apply here" button below. If you are nominating someone else, please have them send or upload the following documents: 1. an abstract from current (in progress) research only, 2. an abstract or article from a previous research project (completed during the 2012-2013 academic year), 3. two confidential letters of recommendation (at least one from a research advisor) focusing on the nominees’ research skills, 4. curriculum vitae, and 5. a letter from the nominee stating their research philosophies and/or objectives
