How to Submit Application Materials

If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident, submission of all required documents to the Office of Global Education should be sent to intladm@kent.edu or mailed to:

Please include your full name and Kent State ID (9 digit number starting with 8) on all documents. For questions, contact International Admissions at 330-672-7980 or intladm@kent.edu.

Check Application Status
Application documents include but are not limited to:

  • Passport Biographical page
  • English Language Proficiency score
  • College transcript/detailed marksheets (certified English translation and original language)
  • College graduate certificate/diploma (if already issued)
  • GRE/GMAT scores or other required standardized test scores
  • Financial guarantee (bank statements) that show sufficient funds to cover educational expenses
    • Only required after acceptance
  • Kent State University Financial Information Worksheet
    • Only required after acceptance

Domestic Applicant

Check Application Status
Application documents include but are not limited to:

  • GRE/GMAT scores
    • Scores will only be accepted when sent to the Division of Graduate Studies as an official test report.
      • Kent State University's GRE code is 1367 and GMAT code is N4Q.
  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Personal/Goal Statement
    • All applicants are required to submit a personal/goal statement regarding their interests and/or intended areas of study. Please note that some programs ask applicants to address specific questions in their statement so it's important to familiarize yourself with your program's application requirements.
  • Transcripts
    • Official transcripts are required at the time of application from all universities where eight or more credit hours were earned. Transcripts will only be accepted when sent directly from previously attended universities.
  • Writing Sample*
  • Portfolio*
