Long-Serving Faculty Member Yoost Awarded for Work with Kent State Honors Students Kent State University College of Nursing faculty member Barbara L. Yoost, MSN, RN, CNS, CNE, ANEF, received the Distinguished Honors Faculty Award for 2013 for her work with nursing honors students.

Honors Student Published in Undergraduate Journal of Writing and Composition Evita Singh, undergraduate integrated life sciences major, had her essay "Regional and Social Dialects When Naming Carbonated Beverages" published by the University of Cincinnati.

Honors Students Tackle Area Childhood Obesity in National Competition Honors students Ryan Collins, Lisa Gulasy and Jenna Hedman, along with peers Christine Morgan and Taylor Titus, are tackling childhood obesity in Portage County as part of the Public Relations Student Society of America’s (PRSSA) Bateman Case Study Competition.

Kent State Honors College Student Named 2010 Portz Scholar Kent State University senior Honors thesis writer Molly MacLagan has been named a 2010 Portz Scholar by the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) for her thesis, “Early English Theatre: A Practical Guide” written under the direction of Dr. Don-John Dugas, associate professor in Kent State’s Department of English.
