Domestic Study Away Programs


  • Students from a variety of academic disciplines are placed in semester-long internships in Ohio's state government in Columbus during this fall semester program. Students attend briefings, take a course in state government, and conduct research on public policy issues.
  • Founded in 1973, WPNI is a semester-long program offered each spring in Washington, D.C. Students from a variety of academic disciplines serve as interns in offices or organizations such as think tanks, lobby groups, media organizations, public defender services, government offices, etc. 
  • Kent State University is a member of the National Student Exchange. Through this program, you have the opportunity to study at one of over 170 other institutions of higher education in the U.S., its territories, or Canada.
