Cable Services | Kent State University

Cable Service is provided in all residence halls and university apartments on campus. The cable service provided consists of 120 channels including 3 Spanish, two Chinese and 12 HD channels. All televisions must be equipped with a "QAM Tuner" (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation Tuner). While most televisions made since 2009 have this capability it is important to note this requirement when purchasing a television to be used on campus.

We are also providing 10 channels in analog. This will enable students with older analog televisions to still receive some channels (see channel guide for details). If you have an older analog television our cable supplier, Campus TeleVideo, has recommended an IVIEW2000 digital converter box you may be able to purchase online.

For a complete listing of the on campus cable lineup view our channel guide.
