Winter Break Room Change Process

Students will be able to schedule and facilitate a room change during the December Winter Break, provided they are NOT attempting to do a room change into one of the break residence halls (Beall, Centennial Court C, Engleman, Koonce, Leebrick, McDowell and Wright Halls  -- room changes into these buildings will not be available over winter break).

Beginning Wednesday, December 19 at 8 am, students wishing to do a room change should call 330.672.7000 and let the Korb Office know.  If the room change is approved, the student must immediately schedule an appointment with the Winter Break Residence Assistant staff to return to campus to physically change rooms.  Please note that we anticipate a high number of phone calls and room changes are processed on a first come first served basis based on when the student speaks directly with the break staff processing room changes – meaning, rooms cannot be held nor is a ‘waiting list’ maintained.

At the time of their room change appointment: Students will have 2 hours from their schedule appointment start-time to complete the room change. Students are not provided time to “set up” their new room during this appointment, only to vacate their previous room and move their belongings into their new location.

Students will need to bring a form of picture identification (license or KSU ID will suffice) as well as bring their old room key to return.  Please note that no room changes will be processed without picture identification and failure to return your previous room key at the time of your appointment will result in an unreturned/lost key charge.

All Winter Break room change requests must be initiated and/or completed by 5 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.  If not completed by this date, the room change will be canceled and the student will need to wait to attempt the room change until the Spring Semester room freeze has lifted.
