The Fiscal Affairs area within the Department of Residence Services is responsible for the financial activities involved in housing. Some of these activities include the preparation and management of the budget, accounting, forecasts and analyses, strategic planning, purchasing, accounts payable, and ensuring the adherence to University financial policies and procedures.

Utilizing continuous quality improvement principles, Fiscal Affairs seeks to efficiently allocate scarce resources while optimizing customer service. Fiscal Affairs assists other areas within Residence Services in tying budgetary dollars to measurable goals and objectives, along with providing subsequent evaluation and recommendations to improve processes.
