either case, the applicant must be an enrolled student at Kent State
University throughout their stay (summer session excluded). In
addition, the applicant's spouse or dependent child must reside with
you at all times while residing at Allerton. There are not to be more
than four (4) residents residing in an apartment at any time.
Subleasing is not permitted.
are available to students with (60) sixty credit hours or more or are
(21) twenty-one years of age or older. Students must occupy the
apartment throughout the term of the Lease and be enrolled for a
minimum of six undergraduate or four graduate credit hours each
semester (summer session excluded) at Kent State University throughout
their tenancy. There are not to be more than (2) two residents whose
names appear on the Lease, occupying the apartment at any time, with
the exception of overnight guests whose stay will be limited to no more
than (7) seven individual and/or consecutive days and/or nights total
per month. Subleasing is not permitted.
Rent payments are to be made in monthly
installations and are paid at the Bursar's Office, Kent State
University, PO Box 5190, Kent, Ohio 44242-0001. Monthly rent
payments must be received by the Bursar's Office on or before
the first day of the month. Failure to pay the monthly rent
payment on time will result in a late payment fee assessed by
the Bursar's Office for each late payment. Failure to keep the
account current each month may result in deregistration from
current classes and/or subsequent terms at Kent State and/or
eviction from the apartment.
WAITING LIST PROCEDURES
Apartments are provided on a
first-come-first-serve basis. In order for individuals to be
placed on the waiting list, an application for family housing
must be completed and submitted to the office. When a vacancy
arises, the staff will attempt to notify the individuals at the
top of the list first. If the individual(s) cannot be reached
within a reasonable time, the next person(s) on the list will be
offered the apartment.
