What you should do before your advising appointment.

1. Find out who your adviser is
2. Schedule an appointment - Contact your adviser to schedule an appointment to meet with him/her. They get busy so the sooner you call the better. Also, when you call, ask if you need to bring anything with you.
3. Pick classes - Choose classes that you want to take and look for time and location conflicts.
4. Be prepared with questions
5. Be on time!

Students with demonstrable ability and knowledge in a particular subject area may earn credit in selected courses though Credit-By-Examination (CBE). Students who wish to pursue CBE must complete the CBE application to gain appropriate college and departmental permission. The appropriate academic department administers the exam which may include the completion of additional assignments. The minimum passing standard for CBE is the equivalent of a “C” grade. However, no letter grade, only credit hours, are posted to the academic transcript for CBE.

Before registration time rolls around, be sure you are prepared! If a hold is placed on your account, you may be unable to register.
