What does the Student Recreation and Wellness Center offer?

The Adventure Center
hosts adventure trips, outdoor clinics, teambuilding opportunities, and a climbing wall for students.
The Aquatics Center
offers swimming lessons and safety certifications.
Crooked River Adventures
gives students the opportunity to bike along the local trails and use the river for paddling and tubing.
The Fitness and Wellness Center offers group fitness classes, personal training, fitness consultations, massages, fitness certifications, and nutrition counseling. The Wellness Center
also has a plethora of equipment for use.
is a great bike sharing program which enables multiple users to borrow bikes for short-term use. Our mission is to provide affordable, easily accessible and environmentally sustainable transportation throughout Kent State. By affordable, we mean free! Students, faculty and staff simply need to visit one of six designated locations on campus to sign out a bike using their Flashcard.
The offers public skating, skating lessons, broomball and hockey programs for student use.
Students are also encouraged to participate in intramural and club sport teams
What does University Health Services Provide?
University Health Services is the place on campus to go for all of your health needs!
University Health Services provides many medical services right here on campus. They are staffed by physicians; and provide exams, vaccinations, and testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. They also provide contraceptives, physical therapy, and there is a pharmacy where students can fill prescriptions. University Health Services also provides various psychological services to students. They provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation. What is the Counseling and Human Development Center?
The Kent State University Counseling and Human Development Center (CHDC) provides free individual, couple, family, child, and group counseling for developmentally-related concerns. The CHDC assists with issues like relationships, adjusting, depression, life goals, burnout, etc... The office is located in 325 White Hall. Check out their website at http://chdc.educ.kent.edu
What is the Psychological Clinic?
In addition to individual, couples, and family therapy, the Psychological Clinic offers specialized services in eating disorders, child assessment and therapy, personality assessment, forensic assessment, parental fitness evaluations, and neuropsychological assessment.
