CAACURH Awards Kent State Students

Nathan Cromer | 02/11/2014

A few days ago, The Black Squirrel Chapter of NRHH and several of its members were awarded for their outstanding service to Kent State University and it’s community.

1.     Megan Corder won the NRHH President of the Year Award

This award recognizes outstanding service to CAACURH by an NRHH President who has had a direct positive impact on their school and CAACURH.

2.     Morgan Snyder won the Student of the Year Award

This award recognizes outstanding service to CAACURH by an individual who has been directly affiliated with the organization.

3.     The Black Squirrel Chapter was recognized as the Outstanding NRHH Chapter of the Year

NRHH chapters serve as a vital role in recognizing leaders who have gone out of their way to enhance residential living environments.  This award is to recognize those chapters that have done more than just recognize the top 1% of their residents, but have made an overall contribution to their school.

There are 8 regions in NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls), so only 7 other students and NRHH Chapters can claim they have been awarded these honors. All three awards are now eligible for submission on the NACURH, or National, level. Last year, Kent State was awarded the NRHH Building Block of the Year Award, Student of the Year and NRHH President of the year.
