Kent State Hosts National Office

Residence Services | 06/07/2013
During May 30th – June 3rd, a group of Kent State students went to the annual NACURH Conference and bid to host the NACURH Services and Recognition Office. NACURH is the largest student-run organization in the world, and it has a commitment to serving students who live on-campus. The annual conference serves brought together over 2,800 students from across the nation as well as international delegates.

The NACURH Services and Recognition Office is the non-technical office of NACURH, Inc. The NSRO provides consistent communication, quality service, and sells merchandise to member schools.

Students went through an interview process to become a member of the bid team, and they put together a 113-page bid detailing why Kent State University was the best place to host the NSRO for the next three years. At the NACURH Conference, the students presented the bid in front of the National Board. Even though another school was bidding to host the office, Kent State proved very successful with their bid completion and presentation.
