The Resident Assistant Staff plans monthly in-hall events. POWERcorps clients love visiting Kent State, and the Resident Assistant staff has hosted numerous recreational opportunities, including board game night, bingo night, and an arts and crafts social during Homecoming Weekend. Dunbar and Prentice residents enjoy attending each event, and some students plan to become more actively involved with POWERcorps.
The partnership recently expanded to include Kent State University’s College of Business advising office. This innovative partnership between Dunbar/Prentice hall staff, Kent State University’s College of Business, and POWERcorps promotes the opportunity to introduce undergraduate business majors living in Prentice Hall to POWERcorps and to provide POWERcorps clients with incentives from the College of Business.
The College of Business, Dunbar/Prentice hall staff and POWERcorps are developing an innovative internship program for university students. During Spring Semester 2013, College of Business students have the opportunity to intern in fundraising, marketing, and accounting with POWERcorps. These internships will be marketed to College of Business students living in Prentice Hall and to students enrolled in the College of Business leadership course.
